Company Sales Policy
PRICES: Prices quoted are subject to change without notice, and our final confirmation. All prices are F.O.B. Elgin (our warehouse). Minimum order $100. WHOLESALE ONLY! TERMS: Terms are NET 20 DAYS for those with established credit. Visa, MasterCard, American Express accepted. Any past due invoice must be paid prior to shipping out additional orders. A service charge of $15.00 will be collected for any NSF check. CREDIT: New customers - to establish credit (open account), please provide bank name and address and three trade references. All first orders require pre-payment or are shipped COD until credit is established. ORDERS: Call 1-800-828-7983 Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. CST. Fax your order to 847-289-0183. Or e-mail sales@chicagoimporting.com Backorders are upon request only. Please advise when ordering. CUSTOMER PICK-UP: Orders may be picked up at our warehouse between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Please call for an appointment. SHIPPING: UPS charges are prepaid and added to your invoice. There is a $1.00 per case charge for packing supplies on all UPS shipments. UPS COD charge is $7.00 per order.
Perishable seafood products must be kept cold during delivery. It may be necessary to ship Next Day or 2nd Day air with insulated boxes and ice packs or via a refrigerated freight service. Styrofoam insulated boxes are available for $6.75 each and ice packs for $2.50 each.
When shipping perishable or chocolate items via UPS or any parcel service during the summer months, we will ship only in an insulated container with ice packs. QUALITY CLAIMS: Please call us within 48 hours of delivery if you have any problems with a shipment. Returns cannot be accepted without prior notification and approval from Chicago Importing Co. Please do not take deductions on an invoice without prior verbal or written authorization from our office to do so. SHIPPING CLAIMS: Upon receipt of goods, you MUST note all discrepancies on the Bill of Lading in order to make a claim. All freight claims must be filed directly with the trucking company. We will assist you if necessary on your claims. We sincerely appreciate your business and we will do our best to serve you.
